Jennifer Aniston’s fitness routine is complex – it’s the reason she’s been able to maintain that sculpted physique of hers for decades. In a 2021 interview, she talked about “always changing it up because I don't ever want to get too bored with anything.”

However, there’s one exercise program that the 53-year-old actress and businesswoman has stuck to for almost 20 years, and that’s yoga. She started practicing it with celebrity yoga instructor Mandy Ingber around the time Friends ended, and she hasn’t stopped since.

On Ingber’s website, Aniston lists the many benefits her instructor’s Yogalosophy program has had on her physical and mental well-being.

“When I started doing yoga with Mandy, I noticed many things,” she says. “My legs getting leaner. My arms getting stronger, and most importantly, I noticed an inner strength. Mandy’s yoga is unique, because she allows the student to discover what ‘yoga’ is and means to them. I feel like I am getting a meditation, a workout, and time with my friend, all rolled into one hour.”

What does a yoga session look like for the Morning Show star? In an interview with Healthista in 2017, Ingber said, “With Jennifer Aniston, I would do 30 minutes of spinning, 40 minutes of yoga, incorporating some of my hybrid which is a yoga pose paired with a toning exercise. We would do some power yoga, vinyasa flow and then some yin yoga stretching, and then finish with the infrared sauna. We did that for 15-20 years.”

Healthy Diet

Along with yoga and other exercises, Aniston also stays in good shape through proper nutrition. Ingber said, “So that said, a healthy fit body like Jennifer Aniston, or even like mine, is based on healthy choices which are absolutely attainable; a wholesome diet with low sugar and minimal processed food. My clients and I make sure we do daily exercise. I aim for seven days a week of training and normally hit five. Diet and exercise is key.”

Devotion To Fitness

The actress and her yoga guru not only have a professional relationship but a close friendship, too. They have consistently bonded over their devotion to fitness.

Ingber said, “She loves practising yoga and how she feels when she does it. In the beginning her body changed and she felt strong and healthy. She’s felt like her muscles are getting leaner and stronger. I know that she wants to be working with me right now – she just wrote to me and said she wants to do yoga with me so badly. I love her for that.”
